Why 'PeePal'?

A soggy piece of cardboard with handwritten "in" and "out" columns tracking fluid intake and bathroom visits, propped up next to a water bottle on a bathroom counter - the inspiration for PeePal

A few years ago I had a problem going to the loo.

After back and forth with urine specialists and logging ins and outs on a soggy piece of card, the strange advice from my GP was, "don't get constipated" and "drink more". Drink more when I can't pee?

There was so much more to hydration and pee than I'd ever imagined, and after doing tons of research, a simple app was the obvious answer. PeePal helps me and others but I'd like it to help all the other people who might track hydration without really tracking why they need it.
